The latest workshop for our 2nd intake of apprentices was the Claims & Risk Management Workshop which took place in April 2016.
With the assistance of the Brokerbility Claims Steering group and our insurer and supplier presenters, the apprentices were given an introduction to Claims by using real life Motor, Property and Liability case studies. Our apprentices then worked together to produce valuable material to help sell the value of the claims offering to their clients.
Here is what some of the attendees had to say:-
“The event was not really relevant to my job directly but helped to learn about a different part of the business. This can only be a positive for my development as I am new to the insurance industry.”
“Very useful as the claims team simply would never be able to spare the time to explain in this amount of detail. Also to delve into the Insurance and loss adjuster sides learning the important role of all the handlers of the claim, what is entailed and what’s going on behind the scenes.”
“I now have a good knowledge of the claims process which can be applied to my job role when necessary. I also have an idea of how diverse and large claims can be, and the amount of work that is needed to handle them.”
